Rob has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Syndicate 1918 and brings nearly 30 years of experience in the global (re)insurance market. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Hamilton Global Specialty, a role he held for over six years. Prior to this, he was Chief Financial Officer at W/R/B Underwriting for nine years and has also held senior positions at Brit Insurance, QBE Insurance Group, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Rob’s career has largely been based in the London and Lloyd’s market, with over four years of international experience in Sydney, Australia. Rob holds a Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from St Catherine’s College, Oxford. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and an affiliate member of the Institute of Risk Management. Rob previously served on the LMA Finance Committee and chaired the LMA’s Next Generation Finance Committee.
