Carla has been with the Santam Group for 17 years, holding various senior leadership roles throughout her tenure. She has transitioned from her most recent Group role as Head of International Business Development to Chief Portfolio and Engagement Officer for the Syndicate. Prior to relocating to the UK, she served as CEO of Santam Corporate Property, the Group’s corporate property specialist MGA, and continues to sit on its board as a Non-Executive Director. Earlier in her career, Carla spent eight years at Hannover Reinsurance Group Africa in various roles across the Group. She is a co-founder of Gauteng Women in Insurance and served as President of the Insurance Institute of Gauteng in 2019. Carla holds an MBA with Distinction (2022), s a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (FIISA), and a member of the Institute of Directors in South Africa.
